Former First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama, has addressed the water supply challenge in Jema and Ampoma, Kintampo South Constituency.
The disruption, persisting for almost six months due to a faulty pump at the small town water system plant, was resolved through Mrs. Mahama’s initiative.
During a courtesy visit to Nana Amponsah Gyan II and Nana Adubofour, Krontihene of Ampoma, Mrs. Mahama, announced the procurement of a new pump, totaling forty-five thousand Ghana Cedis.
This generous gesture not only restored water supply to Jema, but also extended its benefits to neighboring communities like Jema Nkwanta, Ampoma, and Jema Senior High School.
The water system, established in 2013 with funding from the French Development Agency, now continues to serve the region effectively, thanks to Mrs. Mahama’s prompt support.
Through their traditional leaders, the people of Jema and Ampoma in the Kintampo South Constituency expressed their appreciation to Lordina for solving their water supply challenge.
After six months, the water supply has been restored at the small town water system plant to serve the people ending their daily toil for water.
