An aspirant for the National Chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) Stephen Asamoah Boateng, has promised to break the eight (8) for the NPP if elected.
He said, he is an action man whose political campaigning activity, can secure victory for the NPP under his leadership if voted for as the chairman.
According to the NPP chairman hopeful, he has what it takes to build a formidable party to achieve whatever results they seek when it comes to elections.
“ What kind of skill set is needed in the party’s leadership to ensure unity, reorganization and the release of the party energy to break the 8?”, he asked.
“These questions are germane as we think about the current performance of our party whilst in government and beyond 2024 .We simply cannot ignore these:, he warned
“ These have been on my mind and I have pondered and searched my heart and come with the strong belief that I am up to the task “ , he gave the assurance.
Speaking at his campaign launch on June 1, 2020 Mr Asamoah Boateng, who is popularly referred to as “Asabee” was optimistic that the delegates would give him the nod in the upcoming congress to achieve this purpose.
“My vision is to build a solid team of party executives members with the capacity to organiseand position the NPP as a preferred party of choice poised to win elections “, he stressed.
Outlining his other visions, Mr Asamoah Boateng, who is also the Director General of the State Interests and Governance Authority, promised to pursue what he says is ‘Agenda 60/40′.
Explaining this 60/40 agenda, he said the party will vigorously negotiate40percent of political appointment to the rank and file and 60percent to the close confidants of the President .
Additionally, he has promised to build a robust welfare system for party people.
