A flagbearer hopeful of the Natonal Democratic Congress, Dr Kwabena Duffour, has promised to build regional offices for the party across the country .
Not only is he promising to build regional offices, but also constituency offices for the party as well.
According to him , there is the need for a strong party which can be achieved by building the offices which will give it strong a foundation to serve the course of the party.
The flagbearer hopeful gave this assurance yesterday February 28, 2023, when he visited the executives of the party in the Greater Accra region to familiarize with them and to introduce his campaign plans.
Accompanied by other members of his team, including former National Organizer of the party, Yaw Boateng Gyan and former Information Minister, Fritz Baffour , he expressed the believe that the building of these offices will also make the grassroot stronger.
In his wisdom, if the foundation of the party is not strong, working very hard will amount to nothing because there will be no coordination.
According to him , the building of these offices has become necessary because meetings he had with party people in the regions recently were in classrooms and in churches .
He used the occasion to reassure the party faithful that his “Ahotor Project “, which is to empower the less privileged will still be rolled over to benefit them.
He among others , promised to set up a pension scheme for the elderly of the party .This promise, he explained was arrived after visits to some old members of the party revealed their poor living conditions.
Receiving Dr Duffuor to the party office, the Regional Chairman, Mr Ashie Moore , cautioned all the aspirants and their supporters to refrain from dirty campaign.
The common enemy, he pointed out is the NPP and that they should be the target, adding that they should all work together.
