Regional Secretaries of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Thursday, June 16, 2022 visited the Vice President in his office to formally introduce themselves to him after their victories at the various Regional Conferences held across the country recently.

Details of the regional secretaries’ meeting with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, is sketchy, but insiders said it was mainly  centred on issues relating to the growth of the NPP and also how to deepen the bond between the government and the local party.

Dr Bawumia, who is readying himself for the NPP flag bearer contest, is said to have had his candidates sweep the just ended NPP regional elections.

Many, believe the regional executives had gone to pledge their support for the Vice-President, whose popularity in the ruling party is said to be increasing by the day.
