Charter House, organizers of the annual Miss Malaika beauty pageant has announced that they have commenced the search for a new queen this year.

The new queen takes over from Bridget Sharon Cofie, who was crowned winner of the tenth anniversary of the Miss Malaika beauty pageant at the Accra International Conference Centre on October 27, 2012.

The organizers have revealed in a statement that auditions for the 2013 Miss Malaika pageants will come off at the GhOne studios near the STC yard on June 29, 2013.

According to them, “twelve bold, beautiful, smart and intelligent ladies” will be selected for the June 29 audition but only ten ladies, out of that number, will compete for the ultimate prize at the grand finale.

“The twist to this year’s competition is very interesting as the twelve ladies will be put into three groups and each group will have a god sister who will mentor them, be their fashion stylists, groomers, counselors, motivators as well as spend time with them,” the statement said.
