Sense of duty, selflessness and dedication to service was rewarded when the Head of Security and Investigations, Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) – Mr Habib Sanda, led a delegation from the bank to honour a Section of Soldiers of the Army Headquarters, for successfully foiling a potential attack on one of the bank’s bullion vans, arresting the culprits and handing them over to the Ghana Police Service.

Mr Sanda, who recounted the events to the Chief Staff Officer (CSO) at the Army Headquarters – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Charles Agyemang-Prempeh, on Monday, 9 May, 2022, presented a Letter of Commendation to the Soldiers and an undisclosed amount of money, in appreciation for their professionalism and diligence in the execution of their duties.

Mr Sanda narrated that about a month ago, the Soldiers of the Army Headquarters Camp, detailed for Bullion Van Escort Duties for the CBG Bank, successfully foiled the potential bullion van attack, of which further investigations revealed that the culprits have been on Police wanted list for various crimes.

Brig Gen Agyemang-Prempeh expressed appreciation for the honor done the Soldiers, and stated that the Army will continue to provide the necessary security and protection to institutions and Ghanaians, to enable them conduct their activities in a safe and peaceful environment.
