Radio Gold’s ‘Omansumfo’ to be laid to rest tomorrow

Ace Radio Gold and Muntie FM presenter, Nana Yaw Kwakye-Ankomah I, who passed in May, last year, will be laid to rest this weekend.

He was 72 years.

The man with several nicknames, including “Omansumfo”, “Nugbosco”, “Agaaway”, “Numogbonyo” among others, will today, February 24, 2023, be laid in state after a procession of Asafo Company through the Streets of Agona Kwaman in the Central Region. 

The popular actor, who died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on May 4, 2022, was the Tufuhene of Agona Kwaman.

According to the funeral arrangements, he will be laid to rest privately on Saturday, after burial rites at the durbur grounds of Agona Kwaman.

This will be followed by a burial mass at the St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Agona Kwaman on Sunday at Agona Kwaman. 

He was survived by four children and nine grandchildren.
