A delegation from Radio Gold, has paid a courtesy call on the Acting Director-General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko, in what appears to be an effort to mend past differences.

The visit comes after strong opposition from Radio Gold officials to Rev. Fianko’s appointment in January 2025. The station had accused him of being the mastermind behind its shutdown under the erstwhile Akufo-Addo administration in May 2019—a claim the Methodist preacher, has consistently denied.

However, on Monday, March 24, 2025, the NCA’s official Facebook page, shared images of the Radio Gold delegation at the NCA Tower, indicating a shift in relations.

During the meeting, the Acting NCA Director-General, welcomed the five-member delegation, with discussions reportedly centred on extending congratulations on his recent appointment and engaging on key industry issues.

In his remarks, Rev. Ing. Fianko, expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the NCA’s commitment to working closely with industry stakeholders.
