The National Democratic Congress has pegged the nomination fee for the upcoming constituency chairman race at Ghc600.
Additionally , the nominations fee for the vice constituency chairman, the Secretary, the organizer , treasurer and communication officer position have all been fixed at Ghc400.
However, the constituency youth organizer and women organizer positions, as well as that of the zongo caucus position, filing fee will be Ghc350, whiles all deputy youth positions and others will be Ghc300 and Ghc200 respectively.
Nominations and picking of forms for the contest will opened on Tuesday September 20 , 2022.
Filing of the nominations will, however, be on 28th and 29th September.
The General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah , who made the announcement at a press conference yesterday , indicated that the prospective candidates have up to one week to get their forms endorsed.
Vetting of these candidates, who have filed their nominations, he revealed will be held from September 30, to October 2.
After the successful vetting , all misunderstanding and appeals will be heard between 4th and 5th October.
According to the General Secretary, the elections is, therefore, expected to take place on either 22 or 23rd October 2022.
“On the issue of who qualifies to contest the election is left unchanged, meaning, the party constitution is clear on that”, he noted.
He stressed that all candidates will pay for the forms before paying for the filing fee .
“All aspirants must pay their dues up to date, that is, 2018-2022.Every payments should be done online”, he said .
