Kwasi Kwarteng, a legal practitioner and prominent member of the NPP National Communications Team, has been appointed as the official spokesperson for Hon. Kennedy Agyapong’s bid to become the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer.
Kwarteng brings a diverse and impressive background to the campaign, combining expertise in governance, legal affairs, public policy, and strategic communication.
His academic journey includes an LLB from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a bachelor’s degree in health sciences education from the University for Development Studies, a master’s in public administration from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and a master’s in international law from the University of Ghana.
He also holds a postgraduate diploma in occupational health and environmental safety from GIMPA, alongside a professional certificate in public relations. As a qualified barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, he brings significant legal depth to his new role.
Previously, Kwarteng served as spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, where he played a key role in driving public engagement and handling media relations. His participation in the 2024 NPP parliamentary primaries in Asante Akyem North further highlights his strong ties to the party’s grassroots base and his commitment to advancing its values.
With his multifaceted experience, Kwarteng is expected to lead the campaign’s communication efforts, clearly presenting Kennedy Agyapong’s vision to party delegates and the broader public as the campaign intensifies.
