It has come to light that the Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, was formally invited by the Asogli State Council for this year’s Te Zã (Yam Festival).
An official letter sighted by 3news.com and written as far back as Monday, July 25 invited Mr Agyapong in his capacity as the Board Chairman of Ghana National Gas Company.
He was invited to witness the Sitting-In State of the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, on Friday, September 9 and the climax on Saturday, September 10.
However, the Asogli State Council turned away Ken Agyapong when he showed up for the ceremony.
His gifts were also rejected by the traditional council on the grounds that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lawmaker had once badmouthed Togbe Afede XIV.
Ken Agyapong consequently drove off after the action by the Asogli State Council.
