The Assembly member for the Zawse Electoral area in the Binduri district of the Upper East Region – Azambarima Solomon, has made a cash donation to the Binduri district directorate of the Ghana Education Service. The donation was made, following an appeal by authorities of the district education unit.
The two thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢2000.00) cash donation made on August 30, 2022, is meant to facilitate the education directorate to conduct routine monitoring activities.
At a short donation ceremony, Mr Solomon noted that effective and constant supervision is needed to ensure quality education.
“If the office goes round to inspect and monitor for effective teaching and learning within the Binduri district, it will go a long way to help my brothers and sisters”. Noted for such donations,Mr Solomon, who is a teacher by profession, also appealed to individuals and organizations to come to the aid of the directorate. “I also want to appeal to people who can afford to also come and help the directorate”.
Receiving the donation, the district director for education, John Soka Jaggery, stated that the donation has come at a right time and that it will help his outfit undertake its monitoring and supervision activities.
“We want to assureyou that, this amount that has been donated to us will go away to assist us in our supervisory duties. We will be able to move round to ensure that teaching and learning is going on effectively. We hope that in our own way and by your support, we will be able to move education to the higher level. We don’t want to go backwards”.
He was hopeful that many others, will join in donating towards the improvement of education in the district.
