An anti-corruption crusader, Mr Robert Akeyom, has called for a stringent security measures to stop the looting of state properties that had ensued in the aftermath of the 2024 elections.
He said the change in government has triggered the looting of state properties which should not be allowed to continue.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra on December 19, 2024, Mr Akeyom, indicated that, the Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, should intensify the security to forestall the looting.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has plunged the country into a total mess and Ghanaians should not be surprised, if more rot is uncovered at the time the new president takes office.
“The state of rot is so much grave that some of the corruption activities you will hear about will even cause some Ghanaians to collapse”, he said .
Mr Akeyom, who spoke on a wide range of issues, also called for an end to politicisation of the judiciary.
In his view, some of the judges, gets appointed to do political bidding and that has affected the trust of the judiciary and dented their image.
He advised Ghanaians, not to vote for a president in the like of Nana Akufo -Addo again, saying he did not respect the constitution.
