British-Ghanaian gospel singer, song writer and a creative Director, Ed Cal, is set to launch his single on Wednesday March 29, 2023, in the United Kingdom, which also marks the birthday of the sensational gospel musician.
The song titled “Achedie” which literally means Gift, was engineered by Hyper, mixed and mastered by Wei Ye Oteng.
Ed Cal, could best be defined as rising British-Ghanaian gospel musician, who is blessed with the potential of singing and truly believes in ministering of gospel songs to bring more people to God’s kingdom.
Speaking In an interview with this newspaper via telephone, Ed Cal, revealed that he discovered his singing talent at an early stage of his life and always wanted to be a gospel singer, but it wasn’t yet time for me to come out with the song.
“I have always wanted to be gospel singer, but things happened to me in this journey and stopped me which made me think that perhaps it wasn’t my time. I recorded my first single in 2010, but didn’t get the push that I needed and almost gave up. But I believe this is what God wants me to do”, Ed Cal revealed.
He further, revealed that in the year 2022, he decided to get on with his calling as a minister of the gospel song, hence why he is working to come out now.
Touching on the song titled “Achedie”Ed Cal said “I recorded Achedie as my first single, because this is a song that means a lot to me and not just me, but everyone”.
“Waking up in the morning to see that you have life is a gift from God, walking, talking and going about your business is a gift of life, I personally don’t underestimate. Because not everyone gets this opportunity”. Ed Cal added.
He further explained that the song “Akyedie” is a song thanking God for his goodness and mercies and also thanking Him for sending his son, Christ to redeem mankind and strengthen us humans to do his will and beyond.
Ed Cal is also a business owner and a Creative Director of Artz N Beyond, a business he started eight years ago in the United Kingdom.
