Volta Regional Chairman, Mawutor Agbavitor, has described the new leader of the NDC side in Parliament, as a great politician with a solid track record.
He appealed to the outgoing leadership to come to terms with the reshuffle, for the common good of the NDC.
” For us in the volta region, we have absolute confidence in the new team to deliver on their mandate and we pray and seek support from the entire NDC group in this regard”, he said
The NDC regional chair made the remarks at a meeting with the new leadership of Parliament
According to Mr Agbavitor, the time has come for all to ensure we have a united front for the battle ahead.
For his part, the new leader of the NDC side, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, assured the Volta executives of his commitment to unite the party in Parliament
According to the Ajumako Enyan Essiam law maker, Volta Region is very critical if the NDC must win the 2024 polls
“A research carried out by some experts has it that the NDC cannot make any impact if the party relegates volta region to the background”, he added
Member of Parliament for Adaklu, Kwame Governs Agbodza, expressed his appreciation to the party in the region for the massive support
The Adaklu lawmaker, who is the new Minority Chief Whip, asked the regional leaders to continue to work for victory in the next election.
In attendance, were the the deputy Chief Whips, Ahmed Ibrahim, Mad. Comfort Doeyoh Ghansah, the MP for North Dayi, Joycelyn Tetteh.
The team that accompanied the Volta Regional chairman, included the Regional Vice Chairman, Egypt Kobla Kudoto, Regional Secretary , James Gunu, the Regional Youth Organiser, Johnson Alagbo and Cynthia Afeafa Woayor, the deputy Regional Women Organiser.
The rest were a former NEC member, William Agbleke, constituency chairman for Adaklu and some of his constituency executives
