Ramatu Mahama (Neè Egala), the wife of the late former Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, has passed on at age 70.
Affectionately known as Hajia Ramatu, she passed on today, Thursday, April 7, 2022 in the afternoon.
Her son, Farouk Mahama, who is the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP for Yendi in the Northern Region, has confirmed.
She is said to have passed on at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
She will be buried according to Islamic beliefs.
Funeral arrangements will be announced soon.
