The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has commenced a nationwide polio vaccination exercise.
The GHS is expected to vaccinate at least 400,000 Ghanaian children under five years against Poliomyelitis.
According to the GHS, the vaccination has become necessary after it recorded positive tests in a series of samples taken at its polio surveillance sites across the country.
Speaking to Class News, Municipal health promoter of the Klotey Korley Municipal Assembly, Amaning Korte advised parents not to leave their wards out of the ongoing exercise.
