The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno.
The purpose of the visit was to officially congratulate the IGP on his appointment and discuss ways of strengthening the longstanding relationship between the NPA and the Ghana Police Service.
Mr Tameklo, appealed to the IGP to support the NPA in curbing the menace of fuel diversions, particularly in the fight against illegal mining, popularly known as Galamsey.
IGP Yohuno, assured the delegation that the Police Service is ready to assist in combating fuel diversions and other criminal activities within the downstream petroleum sector.

He also emphasised the importance of further deepening the collaboration between the Ghana Police Service and the NPA.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, a delegation from the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), led by its Director-General, Professor Amin Alhassan, paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO0 of the NPA, Mr Godwin Kudzo Tameklo (Esq.).
The visit was to formally convey GBC’s warm congratulations to Mr Tameklo on his appointment and explore potential collaboration areas between the two institutions.
Mr Tameklo, expressed his commitment to partnering with GBC through the NPA’s Corporate Affairs Directorate to drive public education campaigns.
Professor Alhassan, reiterated GBC’s willingness to work with the NPA on consumer awareness and sensitisation initiatives and in other areas of mutual interest to achieve significant outcomes.
