Ghanaian Afropop, dance hall and reggae artist Livingston Etse Satekla, better known as Stonebwoy, has raised a red flag against the E-levy Wahala as a concerned citizen of Ghana.
On Stonebwoy’s Twitter page, he lamented over the E-levy like others concerned about the impending electronic levy policy. He sees the E-levy as another money collecting policy the government interns to implement. Meanwhile, Ghanaians benefit little or nothing from the numerous taxes they pay. He asked how wrong will he be if he complained about how incompetent African governments are. He concluded that only the rich are privileged to political decision making without any opposition party tag on their backs.
Stonebwoy wrote, “How wrong would I be if i said most of our African Govts have implemented many money collecting initiatives but have done little or nothing with the funds accumulated? If you don’t have money, everything you say you belong to the opposition.”
