Former Ivorian President, Laurent Gbagbo has paid a visit to ex-President JJ Rawlings’ tomb at Military Cemetery in Accra where he was buried, a year ago.

Rawlings and Gbagbo have been great friends for years.

Gbagbo has been in Ghana for the funeral of tonetime National Security Adviser, Captain Kojo Tsikata.

Gbagbo considered Captain Tsikata his senior brother.

The ex-Ivorian leader who is gunning for the presidency again, in a recent interview with ace journalist Kwesi Pratt, on Pan African Television, was full of praise for Captain Tsikata for taking care of his mother, who was exiled in Ghana sometime past.

Present in the cemetery was Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings; the ex-Ghanaian leader’s widow, his children Kimathy Rawlings and a grandchild believed to be a daughter of Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings, the Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle.
