Ghanaian dance icon Dancegod Lloyd has cleared the air on viral reports that there is bad blood between himself and his former manager Quables. And this has contributed to his exit from Dance With a Purpose (DWP) Academy.
Dancegod Lloyd, born Lord Kunadu, said on the 3FM Drive that going solo was a choice, and he was not disappointed with anything that happened over the last few weeks.
“I’m not disappointed. No lessons learnt,” he told Giovani. Adding, “I’m happy things are going smoothly in my life, and I’m seeing my worth and the power I have. There are so many things that I can do. I think it’s about time I did that.”
When Giovani asked about his relationship with the team, the famous dancer said he has “no problem with anyone”, and that they are still connected but not as a group.
“Afrobeast is like my brother. Ashiaman we dey and Ashaiman we go always dey. We are blood”
Probing further became difficult as Dancegod Lloyd quickly asked Giovani to change the subject.
However, he maintained that he left with a clean heart to pursue a solo career. But he will work with any member of the group if they reach out to him through the right channels.
“I’m working with everybody. Anybody that wants to work with me, I’m fine. I’m a co-founder, and I don’t have a problem with anybody.”
About his former manager, Quables, who went ranting on Twitter about how he felt betrayed, Dancegod Lloyd said, “Whatever someone has said, it’s up to them. To me, I’m okay.”
