Coach Chris Hughton is facing massive backlash from social media following Ghana’s disappointing draw against Madagascar in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Black Stars were just a win away from securing qualification for the next 2023 AFCON to be held in Ivory Coast next year but will now have to wait until September to determine their fate with the last match against Central African Republic.
The match was Chris Hughton’s third having won and drawn his first two games in a double-legged encounter against Angola in March.
Reacting to the result, fans on Twitter have resorted to criticism questioning the 64-year-old’s choice of selection with many displeased with the inclusion of captain Andre Ayew.
