President Nana Akufo-Addo with the stone flown from Jerusalem

The irony of our thinking is the reason why where we are as a country in terms of development.

While Other countries, we are seeking to compete with are investing in both human and harnessing their natural resources to the benefit of their people and unborn children, we are busy investing in a national cathedral, which will not bring any economic benefits to the country.

Over the years, we have majored in minors and minored in majors, which explains why an invasion of a country of a population of 40 million people by Russia, is having a devastating effect on our economy.

As a newspaper, we believe in exalting God and given him his due, but that should be done only when the time is right.

Even Tithe that is mandatory for Christians to pay, as well as Zakat for Muslims, which is one of the pillars of Islam has a formula.

How much do we earn as a country after paying all our debts for our leaders to decide to commit a whooping 400milloon dollars into building a cathedral.

The Indian government is giving us an amount of $24.98m for the construction of assembling plant to boost the agriculture sector, and yet we don’t find any better use of our money than to think of building cathedral at this stage of our development.

Agric is the backbone of this economy, it is only proper that we put it at the forefront of our national development.

As a country we have competitive advantage when it comes to agriculture, so the prudent decision to take is to maximize it to our benefit and our neighbors.

400 million dollars to build a national cathedral at this stage of our development, where we have so many competing interest, is not a wise decision.

This newspaper implores our leaders to have a rethink and shift our focus to science, technology and agriculture, which is the future we should bequeath the unborn generation
