Leanne Mair, CEO & Founder of Benefactum Consulting and esteemed author of “CLOSING THE GAP: How to Include Black Women in any Gender Equity Strategy,” is set to headline the B-WEL 2024 Black Women’s Leadership Course in Accra, Ghana. The event, organized by Black Women in Executive Leadership (B-WEL), is scheduled to take place from April 14th to April 18th.
B-WEL is a global initiative dedicated to accelerating the leadership growth of Black women executives worldwide. A self-sustaining, transnational, multi-sectoral, and global network of Black women executives, our members share a commitment to collective learning, mutual support, and the strategic utilization of their influence and networks to amplify the impact of their leadership.
The B-WEL 2024 Leadership Course offers a transformative five-day journey immersed in enriching learning sessions led by renowned experts. Leanne Mair will co-facilitate these sessions, drawing on her expertise in gender equity, leadership and communication. The sessions will provide practical insights into identifying and overcoming invisible barriers that hinder the advancement of Black women in the workplace.
In addition to expert-led seminar sessions, the event will feature professional networking opportunities, including an evening reception in partnership with the Ghana Stock Exchange, and TheBoardroom Africa. This reception aims to enhance the representation of Black women executives on corporate boards across Africa.

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in historical and cultural immersive outings in Accra, Ghana, one of Africa’s most vibrant cities. These outings will include interactions with entrepreneurs in various sectors, including the creative and culture industries, agriculture, and more.
