Accra-based lawyer shot dead on Bole-Bamboi highway by suspected robbers

Ex-military man shoots 2 children over rent issues with their father

Three suspected armed robbers have shot and killed legal practitioner Richard Badombia while he was travelling from Accra to Jirapa in the Upper West Region.

The incident happened on Banda Nkwanta and Nuoyiri on the Bole Bamboi highway.

According to reports, the suspected robbers came from a near-by bush and pointed to the vehicle in which the lawyer and his relatives were travelling to stop.

One of the armed robbers then shot him dead.

The Banda Nkwanta Police Command upon hearing of the incident moved in.

Narrating the incident, the police said upon reaching the scene, the deceased Richard Badombia was seen behind the steering wheel with pellet wounds spread over his left cheek.

“The body was removed and has been deposited at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital for preservation awaiting autopsy,” the Police added.

Investigations have commenced into the incident and residents have also been asked to inform the Police on any information they may have on the incident.

Richard Badombia is a Lawyer with Lartey, Badombia & Co. Associates, Located Opposite Roxy Cinema at Adabraka, Accra.
