Pro New Patriotic Party advocacy group , Fixing The Country Movement, is not taking it lightly with the planned protest by the Fix The Country pressure group.
The Movement , has served words of warning to the Fix The Country Group with its resolve to stopping them in their attempt to jeopardize the security of the nation.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, the Convener for Fixing The Country Movement, Ernest Owusu Bempah, described the planned protest by Mr Oliver Barker- Vormawor, as a gangster idea.
He has, therefore, asked the police to cause his arrest and prosecute him and his group.
“ I give the police one week to arrest and deal with Oliver “, he said.
Three days ago, Mr Oliver Barker Vormawor, together with some persons held a press conference during which they announced a four-day continues demonstration against the government over what they say are extra judicial killings and police brutalities.
The nature of the demonstration was among others to address the nation from the Ghana Broadcasting Cooperation premises during which their registered weapons and fire arms will be carried.
The said press conference by Oliver Barker Vormawor, also announced protesting at the Jubilee House using private security.
All of these , according to Mr BarkerVormawor is to press home their displeasure about police brutalities.
But at yesterday’s press conference, Mr Owusu Bempah, was emphatic when he said the direction Mr BarkerVormawor, wants to thread will cause total anarchy and unsafe for the peace and security of the country.
“ Oliver wants to destroy this country. What he wants to do has nothing to do with peaceful assembly. This is someone who is facing coup d’etat charges but still wants to be allowed to engage in such unpopular demonstration?”, he asked.
For him, the path Oliver is seeking to take will leave no doubt in the minds of people who may want his head examined.
“We at the Fixing The Country Movement are in our millions across the country and we would do what it takes to protect the constitution of the country “, he stressed.
“ Public advocacy is engagement and not this type of action which will threaten the security of the country “, he warned.
