Emmanuel Andrews Samini, president of GIMPA’s SRC, has added his voice to the solutions offered by the president to combat Ghana’s economic crisis.
After the president’s public address on the economy, Samini tweeted in agreement with the tenth measure outlined in President Akufo-Addo’s economic plan – Start the process of discouraging the importation of rice, poultry, vegetable oil, fruit juices etc.
Samini has also added his voice and asked Ghanaians to “…eat what we grow and grow what you eat…”
He wrote, “It’s #10 for me. I do hope it’s timely enough for its effect to be felt by the average Ghanaian. It’s no secret to Citizens that over-importation is killing us. Time to act NOW. Let’s eat what we grow and grow what you eat, and everything will #beAlright.”
Earlier this month, Samini released a new single, Be Alright, to comfort Ghanaians as they navigate through the current situation.
