A stalwart of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Enoch Teye Mensah, otherwise known as E.T Mensah, suffered an unbearable humiliation yesterday at the tenth John Evans Atta Mills memorable lecture.
E.T Mensah, who is currently a member of the Council of State representing the Greater Accra region, may regret attending the memorial lecture when at the mention of his name for introduction was hooted at by the participants who had gathered for the function.
It was not, clear what necessitated the hooting, but one school of thought has it that his acceptance to take up a role in President Akufo-Addo’s formation of the Council of State, knowing how deep rooted he is as a member of the NDC, was not right and makes him come across as an unprincipled person .
The Herald, also gathered from impeccable sources that some members of the NDC suspect him of teaming up with the Atta Mills Institute to begin the renovation of the Asomdwee Park at the blind side of the Mills’ family when he is a relative of the former First Lady, Mrs Naadu Mills, wife of Prof Mills and could have known better by ensuring that the family was informed.
The hooting of him yesterday, July 26, 2022 at the Memorial Lecture which came off at the Accra International Conference Centre, was so embarrassing that all those who were introduced before him received rousing applause.
Later , E.T Mensah, who was seen seated quietly, looked miserable as no smile could be spotted in his face.
