Verna Mineral Water through the Ghana Medical Association has donated an incubator for the Ga West Municipal Hospital, Amasaman.
The donation which forms part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of Twellium Industrial Company Ltd, producers of Verna Mineral Water, Slemfit Water, Rush Energy Drink, Mcberry Biscuit and a host of other products, forms part of a series of activities of the company to contribute to health care delivery in Ghana.
The donation was made through the Ghana Medical Association, which has signed a special partnership agreement with Twellium industrial Company to promote and advance interventions in the health sector.
Speaking at a brief ceremony held at the Ga West Municipal Hospital last Friday to hand over the equipment, the president of the Ghana Medical Association, Mr Frank Serebour, said that the gesture is the beginning of the gains we expect to see with the GMA’s partnership with Verna water.
He said the partnership has donated incubators to hospitals in other parts of the country especially in the Northern, Volta and Ashanti region. He promised that in the course of this year, Ghanaians will see more hospitals benefitting from the partnership.
Dr Serebour used the opportunity to express his gratitude to Verna water for the support.
On his part, the medical superintendent of the Ga West Municipal Hospital, Dr Eric Ntiamoah was full of excitement and gratitude for Verna Water.
According to Dr Ntiamoah, the incubator couldn’t have come at a better time. He said the pressure on the hospital as a result of upsurge in population growth in the Municipality means that the hospital has to be fully equipped in order to attend to the health needs of the people. He called for other organizations especially those located within the Ga West the municipality to support the hospital.
As part of its social responsibility, Verna Water’s objective is to support health institutions and facilities. It will be recalled that, Verna Water in July 2022 constructed a canteen, a drain and a fence wall at the Kaneshie Polyclinic as part of its efforts to support health care delivery in Ghana.
Through its Changing Lives campaign, Verna Water has also supported various people to undergo surgeries from various aliments in Ghana.
