Jaman South MCE donates 1,000 dual desks to Education Directorate

The Jaman South Municipal  Assemby, has donated 1,000 dual desks to the Education Directorate.

The donation forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to deal with the furniture deficit in basic schools in the municipality.

Presenting the desks to the Education Directorate, the Municipal Chief Executive, Andrew Bediako, revealed that donation shows the Assembly’s seriousness to deal with the 8,000 furniture deficit in basic schools.

He assured that the assembly will continue to support the Directorate in order to ensure effective teaching and teaching in the municipality.

He charged the Directorate to ensure the proper usage of the desks. 

The Municipal Education Director, John Kwame Gasu disclosed that this is the first time the Directorate has received the largest donation of furniture and thanked the Assembly for the gesture.

He assured that the desks will be distributed to  the schools based on needs to achieve the intended purpose.
