And it has become the responsibility of every member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to ensure that, Sidi Abubakar Musah, does not become the national Organiser of the party.
If anyone thinks, that the above is a strong statement to make about a contestant for the position of the National Organiser, I agree. But, before you jump to conclusions, I ask you to stay with me while I make the case that it is incumbent upon every party faithful to assiduously work towards ensuring that Sid Abubabkar, does not become the organizer of the largest political party in the country.
Having said the foregoing I will now proceed to make my point as to why I think SidiAbubakar is not welcome and certainly not the best bet for the position of the National Organiser of the NDC.
Given the extreme circumstances confronting Ghana and Ghanaians from the clueless and incompetent Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sidi Abubakar’s lackluster performance as the Youth Organiser, is a big minus to his ambition.
Occupying a political position, has become a matter of life and death for Sidi, he is behaving as though he cannot stay without it.
I would agree that every human being must be ambitious, but that ambition must be within the parameters of collective good.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been good to him, he has run his race, won what he has to win and lost what he had to lose. It is time to decide what he wants and stop dancing around every position in the party.
What you don’t do is take the opportunities offered you by the party for granted. Not many people in the party, have had the opportunity, Sidi, have had since he joined the party.
Sidi Abubabkar, is one lucky politician whose political webs have stretched to reach nearly every important position in the NDC.
His time as the Youth Organiser of the party, was a period loyalists of the party, especially the youth, want to forget. He failed to mobilize them for the 2016 battle and here he is contesting for the position of the national organizer.
What could possibly be motivating Sidi, for a job that he knows is bigger than him, given his past experience, is something I cannot for the life of me fathom.
As everyone who cares not only the success of the NDC but the country, one can attest that, one position that do not need any weakling, but someone who has been tried and tested is the national organizer of the party, you don’t need to be an astute politician to know that organization is everything. In fact, it is very fundamental to the success of the party, and that is the very first place that Sidi, has failed.
Sidi, won the contest when he went against Ludwig Hlodze, because the youth saw him, as a man who had his boots on the ground. He was the second coming of Haruna Iddrisu, if you will, but unfortunately, he was worse than his predecessor.
Sidi is a joker. I believe Sidi Abubakar knows that he cannot succeed in his national organizer expedition based on his past achievements as a youth organizer. Sidi is no match for the incumbent, Joshua Akamba, as well as Joseph Yamin. This is an uncomfortable but evident fact.
Self-introspection is very important, when one sets out for a task that is as arduous as the national organizer of the largest political party. You have to first of all listen to your inner voice, before the many voices, which will only set you out to fail.
If Sidi could not succeed as a youth organizer, what or who convinced him that, he will do a better job as a national organizer, when the job at that level is harder than at the youth level.
I have watched some pictures, he has posted on facebook, as part of his campaign tour, there is no better word to describe it as pathetic. The writing is on the wall; this journey he has embarked upon is an exercise in futility.
This same Sidi failed in his quest to represent the people of Madinaas their legislator in parliament. After the primary that elected Francis Xavier Sosu, typical and characteristics of him, he was never seen or heard of again. During the national campaign, he abandoned Sosu and the constituency, only to resurface with a bigger unbridled ambition.
It is said that one good turn deserves another, has Sidi performed well as a youth organizer to be given another opportunity to serve as the national organizer.
This question has palpitated in my head effectuating mixed feelings. The reason is that, if he is measured on certain deliverables, such as youth mobilization, information dissemination etc., I can say without any equivocation that he has flunked the essential test of been the leader of the youth front.
The 2024 election, is a make or break not only for the NDC, but Ghanaians, who have been disappointed in the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party [NPP].
Ghanaians will not forgive NDC if it fails to wrestle power from this clueless government. The suffering in the country is too much, the level of despondency is beyond imagination and absolutely nothing should be left to chance to take them out of power.
So, if anyone thinks that Sidi, would be the person to mobilize the rank and file of the NDC for the desired victor, the person definitely needs a rethink.
The pedigree of Sidi is troubling enough that a party would not hang its hopes on his type. He is nothing but a disaster.
