Newly enskinned chief for Kanye Pe, a suburb of Bole in the savannah region of the North Eastern part of Ghana, Kanye Pe Wura Solomon SalifuTampuri, has called on his people to rally behind him to transform their community.
He said the area can attract people from all walks of life, if they work together to transform it to become the best standard like other towns in the country.
Speaking to the media after his outdooring and installation, the Kanye Pe Wura, said he acknowledges the task ahead of him and considers it as a vote of confidence to live up to expectation.
He said the chieftancy institution, is a prestigious one which is backed by royalty.
For him, disputes are avoidable, as it has become rampant in certain kingdoms in the country.
He, therefore called on kingmakers in different jurisdictions, to as much as possible follow the revered tradition in nominating chiefs who are primarily royals.
Known in private life as Lawyer Solomon SalifuTampuiri, the new chief encouraged his kingsmen to always follow the precedence of his enskinment.
“I call on you my fellow Royals never to forget or reject your home and culture no matter where you find yourselves in the world”, he appealed.
With his globally acquired experience, Mr Tampuiri, expressed the optimism of being part of the solution, rather than sit outside the box and criticize his people for failing to deliver.
“ The chieftaincy institution is an old institution and integral part of the political system as far as nation building is concern, let us do our best to work together with all governments to bring development to our area “, he advised.
With the support of all members of the community and state actors he said the chieftancy institution can be reformed and made an enviable and productive institution.
