The Circuit Court 9 in Accra presided over by His Honour Mr Samuel Bright Acquah has granted bail to Patricia Asiedua popularly known as Nana Agradaa in the sum of GHc50,000 with three sureties.
The sureties, the court said should be civil servants earning not less than GHc2000 per month.
The court also said she should report to the case investigator every Wednesday until the final determination of the case.
The founder of the Heaven Way Champion International Ministry has pleaded not guilty to the charges of charlatanic advertisements and six counts of defrauding by false pretences.
According to EIB Network’s Legal Affairs Correspondent Murtala Inusah, Nana Agradaa looked very sober in her third appearance in court as she is said to be celebrating her birthday today.
Nana Agradaa though granted bail today, her charges at another Circuit Court meant that she will still be in lawful custody.
The case has been adjourned to November 10 with the court ordering the prosecution to file their disclosures and have same served on the prosecution.
Prosecution led by DSP Sylvester Asare had argued that, Nana Agradaa though in lawful custody has been engaging in “gargantuan” interference with investigation.
But her lawyers debunked that assertion.
More to come…
