The Member of Parliament (MP) for Adaklu constituency, Kwame Governs Agbodza, on Thursday, September 15, 2022, commissioned a new health centre at Adaklu Dave in the Volta Region.
This new health facility, will serve the people of Adaklu Dave, Adaklu Gbleve and Agortorme which are all rural communities in the Adaklu Wumenu Electoral Area.
The District Director of Health Services, Charles Azagba, thanked the chiefs, the MP, the DCE and the people of Dave for their commitment towards health services in the Adaklu district.
Mr Azagba, disclosed that seven health persons were posted to the Adaklu Dave Health Centre to start work with immediate effect at the facility.
The health directorate promised to donate one brand new motorbike to the facility for smooth running of the centre.
Mr Agbodza, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the chiefs and people of Dave, Gbleve Agortorme, the DCE, and the management of the assembly for their unflinching support in diverse ways as far as community development is concerned.
To operationalize the new facility, a lot of basic and vital health equipment were presented by the MP which will make work easier and more effective.
The lawmaker urged the health workers to exhibit good maintenance culture in handling the health facility and equipment.
Mr Agbodza, also at the ceremony presented a brand new 43″ TV set to Madam Christiana Sasraku alias “Davi Tine”, a well-known community health volunteer in Adaklu.
Christiana’s work and dedication in volunteerism, has earned her a lot of recognition and awards in the district.
The Adaklu MP, bemoaned the old age adage that rewards are in heaven, saying “we can get it right here on earth with hard work and dedication”.
On her part, the District Chief Executive, Juliana Kpedekpo, used the opportunity to assure the people of Adaklu that, the government is doing it best to see the District hospital come to fruition. She urged the women to make good use of the facility to promote zero tolerance to maternal death.
The assembly member, Christopher Galenkui, thanked the MP, the DCE and the management of the Adaklu district assembly for their zeal and support in making Adaklu Wumenu electoral area, the hub of development.
“This is the second health facility commissioned during my era as the assembly member, and this brought joy to me and my people”, said Mr. Galenkui.
