The Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has waded in the controversy surrounding how the unwell Ahanta West MP arrived in Parliament saying he saw him arrive in an ambulance.
“I saw how Ahanta West MP and Chieftaincy minister Ebenezer Kojo-Kum was brought to parliament in an ambulance,” the Speaker said in the House on Thursday.
The MP who has been reported sick for sometime now arrived in the House in ambulance and is believed to have received treatment at the Parliament clinic. The NPP needed him to pass the controversial E-levy which was passed by a one sided house.
The Minority who walked out during the passage of the bill have filed a writ at the Supreme Court seeking to nullify the passage over quorum.
The Majority has been quiet over claims by the minority that the sick MP did not enter the chamber.
