Akufo-Addo sidelined me after campaigning with him- Addai Nimoh

By Patrick Biddah

A presidential candidate aspirant hopeful, Mr Francis Addai- Nimoh, has revealed that he was sidelined by President Akufo-Addo for appointment after campaigning for him to become president in 2016.

According to him , he was one of the people who campaigned vigorously with him for the New Patriotic Party to capture power, but was left out of appointment, while others receive call ups.

For him , It did not stop him from being loyal to the cause of the party, but now believes it is time for him to become the   new phase to lead the party who will not sideline those who will campaign with him .

Declaring his intention to contest the presidential bid on the ticket of the party at a press conference on Wednesday, February 1,2023 in Accra , Mr. Addai Nimoh, said he is the best  man to retain power for the NPP.

According to him, the NPP need a unifier who will make NPP shine again and the renewal of the energy of the party at the grassroot.

In view of this, he said he is the best person to ensure internal unity which will go to benefit the party for victory.

“ Factions are causing devastating erosion in the fortunes of the party and I am the one who comes as the middle man to bridge the gap for unity “ he said .

In the 2014 presidential primaries, Mr Addai-Nimoh, placed 3rd out of the 7thcontestant.

He has, therefore, called on the organizers of the primaries to allow equal access to the delegates which he claim will enhance his chances than previously.

The former Member of Parliament for Mampong, promised to be a leader who will serve all Ghanaians.

He took a swipe at the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) When he said they have no plans of offering anything better for Ghanaians and should therefore remain in opposition.
