The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) is scheduled to begin engagements on the determination of the national base pay for the 2027 financial year today, Thursday, October 15.

In a letter dated October 13, 2026, the Commission invited representatives of the Government Team and one representative each from organised labour to a meeting at the Ghana Employers Association conference room at 2:00 p.m.

The meeting, according to the letter signed by the Commission’s Chief Executive, Dr George Smith-Graham, will commence engagements towards determining the 2027 national base pay in line with the Commission’s mandate and the government’s broader public sector pay policy.

The invitation forms part of a structured consultative process intended to promote equity, fairness and sustainability in the public sector pay regime.

The Commission has encouraged punctual attendance to ensure a smooth and productive session.
