This comes as a fulfilment of a promise she made to the high priestess of the Ga State, Aawon Ayele, to appease and atone for sins of the officers who unfortunately sprayed the priestesses with hot water on their way home during the lock down period last year.
Presenting the gifts of atonement on behalf of Naa Okailey Adiagba 1, the executive director of the foundation, Naa Korkoi Mensah, said the Queen though out of the country is passionate about the welfare of the priestesses and intends to support them, however, way she can.
She emphasised that the Queen recognises the neglect and unfavourable conditions the priestesses are subjected to and is committed to ensuring they get what they are due.
Aawon Ablah, expressed gratitude for the kind gesture and took the opportunity to remind the chiefs over their existence.
According to her most of them, endure hardship owing to the fact that their deities do not permit them to work and called on Naa Okailey Adiagba I, to plead with the chiefs and Kings to come to their aid.
