Omicron Outbreak : Multi Quest Donate Thousands Of Face Shields To Institutions To Support The Fight

As the omicron covid 19 variant continue to ravage the world at the start of the fourth wave of the pandemic, a Ghanaian company seem to have been well poised to support institutions take precautionary measures by donating face shields to them.

Muiltple quest construction company which is a privately owned company and  based in Accra has donated thousands of face shields to institutions.

At a ceremony to present the face shields at the premises of the company at Tse Addo in the Ladekotopon municipality of the Greater Accra region, the Director of Multiple Quest, Mr.Gift Kwame Denyo indicated that the shields is to help protect the staff and front line workers who gave their all in the fight against the pandemic.

“ This is not an alternative to the vaccine but we just want to say that while you take your .vaccines, sanitize your hands regularly and wear your shields to keep all of us safe”, he noted.

Some of the institutions which benefited from the shields are the Cantoment Police, the Police Hospital, the La Polyclinic, the Ladekotopon Municipal Assembly and Lekma hospitalwith all of them taking 2,000 pieces each.

Donations of the shields were also made to media houses.These are the Ghana News Agency, the Ghanaian Times, the Daily Graphic , GBC , Daily Guide and the Despite group among others.They equally received 1000 pieces.

According to Mr.Denyo, the donation was also to mark 14 years of the existence of Multiple Quest Company Limited.

“This is just a simple ceremony to thank God for His goodness and mercies over the last 14 years of our existence as a company”, he noted .

“It has been 14 years of a roller coaster journey but God has been on our side every step on the way, and we are hopeful that we we are going to survive the next 14 years, and another 14 years, and another”, he added.

The company he said has in the last 14 years impacted lives by giving people training and offered some people jobs whiles  some have moved on  to set up their own shops after working and  receiving quality training.

“We want to use this opportunity once again to call on the government to make the business atmosphere conducive enough for young entrepreneurs  to succeed”, he appealed

“From my personal experience I have witnessed how cumbersome it is to start a business in this country and keep it going for years. The bureaucracies and frustrations alone are no jokes, talk less of raising the capital”, he added

He further entreated the government to  make it more conducive for young entrepreneurs to start and sustain their investments and businesses.

“I want to urge the government to prioritise skills training in schools to ensure that the youth are equipped with the right skills before they complete second cycle institutions, since it is essential for every economy”, he stressed.
