Police have declared the official vehicle for Bono Regional National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) wanted as frantic efforts to trace the whereabouts of the brand new vehicle have been unsuccessful a couple of weeks ago.

According to Police’s Extract to Ark News, the Toyota Hilux Pickup with registration number GS 1542-21 was parked at the residence of the Regional NADMO Director, Mr Konlaabig Rasheed, who doubles as the NPP Bono Regional Organiser and Bawumia’s aide in the Bono Region

BACKGROUND

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has presented 40 vehicles to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and assured it of the government’s continued commitment to resourcing it to respond timeously and in an efficient manner in times of disasters.

The vehicles presented to the organisation at its headquarters yesterday included a Toyota Land Cruiser, one Toyota Camry, one Toyota Ambulance, one Mercedes Benz Rescue Ambulance and one pay loader.

The rest are five Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and 30 Toyota Hilux Pickups.

The President, who was making his first visit to a state agency after being sworn in on January 7, 2021 for his second term, promised to add 32 pickups to the fleet by next month and assured the management of more resources and equipment under his administration.

It was also the first time a sitting President was visiting the NADMO headquarters at Kaokudi in Accra.

MISSING BONO REGIONAL NADMO OFFICIAL CAR

The parked vehicle was stolen from the residence of the NPP Bono Regional Organizer’s residence without the keys on dawn, 1st December, 2021 and has since not be found”, according to Motor and Traffic Department (MTTD) of the Bono Regional Police Command.

Police and the Bono Regional Coordinating Council are therefore appealing to the general public to kindly report any information to nearest police station or give information that could lead to successful arrest and retrieval of the vehicle or call 0200048535 for a handsome reward.

“The colour of the vehicle is black and yellow stripes with BONO NADMO inscription”.
