Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, Mahama et al wish Black Stars well

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has wished the Black Stars well ahead of their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations clash with the Atlas Lions of Morocco.

In a video clip, President Akufo-Addo reiterated that the target for the team is to bring home the trophy to end the 40-year drought.

Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in a tweet, assured of the nation’s support as the campaign for a fifth African title begins.

Former President John Dramani Mahama, also in a tweet, wished the team well not only in Monday’s encounter but also in subsequent matches.

The US Embassy in Accra has also wished the team well with a picture of the Ambassador Stephanie S. Sullivan in the trademark Black Stars strip.

Fans expect Black Stars win in AFCON opener

Ghanaian fans expecting a win from the Black Stars in the Africa Cup of Nations Group C opener against the Atlas Lions of Morocco overshadow those expecting any other result.
