In a gesture of goodwill and community engagement ahead of the Easter festivities, the Managing Director of TDC Ghana Ltd., Courage K.M. Nunekpeku, has made significant donations to three traditional councils within the Tema Acquisition Area. The donations were made on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama.
The Nungua, Kpone, and Tema Traditional Councils each received 100 packs of bottled water, 10 bags of rice, boxes of spaghetti, a bull, and an undisclosed amount of cash. The initiative reaffirms the long-standing relationship between TDC Ghana Ltd. and the traditional custodians of the lands on which the company operates.
Nungua Traditional Council
Accompanied by Presidential Staffer, Anthony Nukpenu, Mr. Nunekpeku began his outreach at the Nungua Traditional Council.

The delegation was warmly received by HRM Obaode Nortse King Prof. Odaifio Welentsi III, along with Katamanso Mantse, Tatse Nii Laryea Akuetteh, and East Legon Mantse, Nii Afotey Srawa.
HRM Odaifio Welentsi III, expressed deep appreciation for the visit, noting that it was the first time in his over 30-year reign that a TDC Managing Director, had paid such a courtesy call.

He voiced hope that the gesture would usher in a stronger, more collaborative relationship between TDC Ghana Ltd. and the Nungua Traditional Council.
Kpone Traditional Council
The second stop, was the Kpone Traditional Council, where the delegation was received by Council Chairman Nii Tetteh Otu II.
The visit served as an opportunity to formally introduce Mr Nunekpeku, to the traditional leadership.

The Council thanked President Mahama for the show of goodwill and took the opportunity to share a number of key concerns with the TDC team. Traditional prayers, were offered for the MD’s protection and success in his new role.

Tema Traditional Council
The final leg of the visit, was to the Tema Traditional Council, where Acting President, Nii Adjetey Agbo II, and his elders welcomed the TDC delegation.

The Regent acknowledged the importance of continued collaboration between the Council and TDC Ghana Ltd., emphasizing the mutual benefits of a strong partnership.
All three councils, commended the initiative, describing it as a positive and encouraging start to Mr Nunekpeku’s tenure.
They expressed optimism that such engagements would become a regular feature, fostering closer ties and sustained cooperation between TDC Ghana Ltd. and the traditional authorities.
