The Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) has held discussions with DHL Global Forwarding on potential investment opportunities in Ghana’s mining, infrastructure and manufacturing sectors.
The engagement brought together GIPA Chief Executive Officer Simon Madjie and DHL Global Forwarding Senior Vice-President Thomas Grunau to explore areas of collaboration.
Mr Madjie identified opportunities for logistics companies in the mining industry, particularly in the supply of specialised equipment, mining materials and urgent deliveries.
He also highlighted prospects under the government’s Big Push infrastructure programme, as well as in artisanal and small-scale mining, critical minerals exploration and manufacturing.
The GIPA CEO commended DHL for its longstanding operations in Ghana and reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to supporting the company’s continued growth.
Mr Grunau expressed DHL’s interest in providing logistics services for major investment projects in the country.
