Access Bank Ghana, has rewarded the first set of winners in its ongoing “Fa Ketewa Bɛgye Kɛseɛ” promotion, an initiative designed to promote financial literacy and encourage a stronger savings culture across the country.

At a lively mini draw event held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Bank’s Head Office in Osu, 21 lucky customers were selected from a pool of eligible savers nationwide. The winners walked away with a range of prizes including cash rewards, souvenirs, and—for young participants—a full year’s subscription to streaming services like Netflix, Amazon, and Spotify.

The “Fa Ketewa Bɛgye Kɛseɛ” promotion, which translates to “Little Drops Can Make a Mighty Ocean”, is a six-month nationwide campaign aimed at demonstrating the power of consistent, modest savings. Launched earlier this year, the promo is open to both new and existing customers who make a minimum deposit of GHS 250.00 and maintain or increase their balance over the promo period.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Jones Darmoe, Group Head of Business Banking at Access Bank Ghana, underscored the Bank’s long-standing commitment to empowering Ghanaians financially:

“At Access Bank, we understand the daily pressures our customers face—whether it’s paying bills, supporting their families, or planning for the future. This promotion is more than just rewards; it’s about showing Ghanaians that saving small amounts regularly can lead to big wins—both financially and in life.”

He further noted that the campaign is structured not only to reward loyalty but to serve as a financial cushion for customers during unexpected circumstances, such as medical emergencies, school fees, or business needs.

A unique aspect of the campaign is its relevance to younger demographics, a growing market segment that values convenience and digital engagement. As part of the rewards package, younger winners received full-year subscriptions to Amazon, Netflix, and Spotify, recognizing their lifestyle interests and making financial empowerment relatable.

Ms. Nana Yaa Vaderpuiye, Head of Sales and Agency Banking at Access Bank Ghana, added that the Bank’s mission is to make financial security achievable for everyone.

“This campaign reaffirms our dedication to promoting financial literacy while rewarding loyalty. We believe that everyone deserves the peace of mind that comes with financial preparedness, and saving is the first step toward that goal.”

She also encouraged winners to become brand ambassadors for the Bank and share their experiences with friends, family, and colleagues. “Let them know that not only is it smart to save—it can also be rewarding,” she said.

The “Fa Ketewa Bɛgye Kɛseɛ” promo will continue until October 2025, with monthly mini draws and a grand draw at the end of the campaign period. Upcoming rewards include higher cash prizes, electronic gadgets, and other lifestyle incentives aimed at encouraging greater participation.

Customers can qualify by:

  • Opening an account with Access Bank Ghana (if they are new customers)
  • Depositing a minimum of GHS 250
  • Maintaining or increasing the balance during the promo period

By encouraging customers to put aside even modest amounts regularly, Access Bank Ghana is using the promotion as a tool to drive long-term behavioral change, inspire financial independence, and promote inclusive banking.

In a country where many face competing daily financial demands, initiatives like this remind people that every little effort counts, and with consistency, the benefits can be both immediate and long-lasting.

The Bank looks forward to rewarding many more Ghanaians in the coming months and encourages everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to save and win.
