UNWTO Delegation Calls On President Mahama


The President, John Dramani Mahama, on Tuesday held discussions with a delegation of African Ministers of Tourism and officials of the United Nations (UN) World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), led by Secretary General, Dr. Taleb Rifai.

The courtesy call on the President forms part of the UNWTO’s 3-day Conference on Rebranding Africa taking place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.

The Conference, which was opened by President Mahama on Monday, aims at identifying the key challenges facing Brand Africa and among others exchange national experiences on country and tourism branding.

Among the Ministers of Tourism were, Ghana’s Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Bello Bouba Maigari, Minister for Tourism and Leisure of Cameroon, Jean-Claude Diona, Minister for Tourism and Culture of Burkina Faso, Alain Saint-Ange, Minister for Tourism and Culture of Seychelles and Walter Mzembi, Minister for Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Zimbabwe.
