The United Bank of Africa (UBA)-Ghana, has launched a promotion dubbed “awoof” to reward a new and existing customer who opens or reactivate an existing account with a minimum of GH¢200.
Described as a deposited accelerated promotion, the ultimate winner of the promotion would go home with a Mobus three bedroom town house and six other lucky winners will take home GH¢20,000 each at the grand draw.
Six customers also stand the chances of winning GH¢ 10,000 each in the quarterly draws.
Other 90 winners would also receive consolation prizes such as Television sets, Air-conditioned sets and online shopping vouchers among others.

The aim of the campaign, he said, was to maintain the loyalty of the existing customers and reactivate dormant accounts.
He explained that any of the bank’s savings or current accounts run by an individual and in Ghana Cedis is qualified to partake in the promo.
“UBA has widened the promo net byextending to make one receive a remittances of more than $200 or its equivalent through any of our remittance platforms…you qualify to receive an instance gift,” he added.
The Head of digital banking, Johnson Olakumi noted that aside the grand prize, a number of gifts will be given out to different customers of the bank, including customers of other banks who transact business with UBA.
He further assured that the bank is “democratizing its banking services across Ghana to ensure every customer of the bank is empowered with financial information to get the best use for their money, empowered in best ways to use their money to explore opportunities and that is what ‘awoof’ simply signifies.”
Representatives from the National Lotteries Authority (NLA) endorsed the promo as genuine, and one of the most rewarding promos that the lottery company has ever supervised, assuring that the draw would be conducted in a manner that is credible and transparent.
