Good work they say pay and this is so true of season seven winner of TV3’s music reality show Mentor, who keeps going higher and higher.
Roselyn Akosua Mantey, 22, after breaking the genes of all men winning the ultimate prize package of a vehicle, cash amount and other consolation prizes, has been rewarded by two different companies at a presentation ceremony held last Thursday in Accra.
One of the two companies, Grand Casamora Hotel on the Adjringano Main Road in Accra, as part of it Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its desire to associate itself with authentic Ghanaian hilife music, has given Akos, one year accommodation free of charge.
Akos, a member of the Golden Squad from the Ashanti Region, has a Superior Room reserved for her pleasure, anytime she visits Accra and is to be given executive treatments befitting of her current status as music queen.
According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hotel, Christian K Samora Afriyie, apart from the offer being part of their CSR, he revealed they were touched by Akos’ sterling performance, which earned her the enviable crown, beating five others on the day.
Miss Mantey, is expected to enjoy services, such as free room service, laundry, unlimited use of internet, swimming pool, early and late check ins and outs etc. The package according to Mr Afriyie would be reviewed after September 2014.
In a brief chat with the media, Mr Afriyie, acknowledged the importance his outfit attaches to music, especially hilife and announced that the hotel will soon add to it entertainment package, a hilife show to entertain it customers.
At Flycotec Company Limited at Kwikrom near Kasoa, where the second presentation was presented, Akos was celebrated by the company which gave her a document covering a plot of land at their estate developing site; Atlantic City. In addition the company presented her with a cheque amount of one thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1, 000) as part of the company’s CSR.
CEO of Flycotec, who also doubles as the Apakyahene of Gomoa Kwikrom, Francis Nana Yaw Owusu Lincoln said, he had over the years developed a strong passion for the music industry and added that working with ace hilife musician Sloopy Mike Gyamfi, has encouraged him to help musicians acquire properties, such as lands to enable them better their lives.
Manager for Akos, Sloopy Mike Gyamfi, thanked the companies for the acknowledgement and prayed that other organizations, will emulate the kind gestures of the two companies.
Akos profoundly thanked the two companies for the honour done her and promised her fans that she would soon hit the music scene.
