Noted industrialist and paramount chief of the Asogli traditional area, Togbe Afede XIV has been sworn in as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Investment Bank Limited. In a short but impressive ceremony held at the conference room of the Ministry of Finance, the seven-member Board was sworn in by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Cassiel Ato Baah Forson.
In a speech read on his behalf by his deputy, the Minister of Finance urged the Board to carry on with the good works of the old Board. He further tasked the new Board to bring their vast experience and expertise to their mandate of directing the affairs of the National Investment Bank Limited.
In his acceptance speech, Togbe Afede XIV showed his appreciation to the President for the honour done him. On behalf of the new Board he promised that they will spare no effort in ensuring that NIB continues on its positive path of growth and modernisation.
Other members of the new Board include; Mr Emmanuel Adu-Sarkodie of CDH Financial Holdings, Mrs Dedaa Wiredu Agyei, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ms Florence Chambas of Empretec Ghana, Mr Michael Ayesu of Ministry of Finance, Mr Patrick Tei Kwapong, Acting Managing Director of the NIB and Nana Pemampem Yaw Kagbrese V, Paramount Chief of the Yeji Traditional Council.
