Sir John, Sir John, Sir John, if it was a movie, I would have asked him, how many times have I called you. Unfortunately this is not, so I will proceed to make my point whether he responds or not.
Looking at the day-to-day events occurring in our dear country Ghana, it is obvious that the magnitude of moral bankruptcy in Ghana and among some individuals, who claim to be politicians, had skyrocketed to a very high degree and Sir John seems to be leading the pack of absurdities.
Why one man can hold common sense to sway in a very sane and considerate political party is something that Academics and Researchers must look at.
Sir John has indicated that Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo and the NPP, is going to seek a review of the election petition ruling that was unanimously thrown out by the nine member panel judges, this was at the time when the three member ex-ministers of justice were yet to review the verdict and come out with their recommendation.
In fact, it may do us well to hear “The General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has hinted that the party might seek a review of the Supreme Court judgement read last Thursday 29 August, 2013.
The Supreme Court’s judgement delivered after eight months of legal battle dismissed a petition filed by NPP’s 2012 presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the Party’s chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey challenging results of the 2012 presidential polls.
Nana Akufo-Addo minutes after the verdict was read conceded defeat and was certain the party will not seek for a review.
General Secretary of the NPP, Sir John disclosed on Adom TV, Monday that the petitioners will hold consultations with the National Executive Council (NEC), for a possible review even though the first petitioner; Nana Akufo-Addo has accepted the court’s verdict and has declared his intention not to pursue the matter any further.
According to him, the flagbearer (Nana Addo) was not the only one who took the matter to court so his decision cannot hold down that of his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and party Chairman, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey”.
Funny enough, when Nana Addo met the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, he indicated to them, that he arrived at the decision not to seek a review of the ruling, upon considerations with the National Chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey and the General Secretary Sir John.
I am not surprised by the actions of Sir John, because when NEC met to consider whether former President John Agyekum Kufuor, should attend the swearing-in of the president elect, John Dramani Mahama, he was there but later came out to deny knowledge of that decision.
Perhaps the only review NPP and Ghanaians need is for the party to as a matter of urgency, call or organize their National Congress early enough to have Sir John thrown out, because this man is a disaster of a General Secretary.
In the previous week, after the verdict, Ghanaians were awash with a new political drama in which the sick and yet to be recovered from brain damaged Sir John, has unleashed his ignorance on both Ghanaians and his party.
Though I am not a psychiatrist or psychologist, but having followed closely the exploit of Sir John, since he became the General Secretary of the NPP, it is obvious to me that this man is suffering from brain dementia due to the serious accident he had, when he was a child. That is what I think, I could be wrong and that is why I am asking that he be examined by psychologist.
I have on several times described the performance of Sir John as “visible with little substance”. He never says anything that advance the course of Ghana and his party, especially considering the sheerest emptiness of some of his comments that clearly underscore the sole intent of it being merely spiteful and nothing more.
In view of his promise that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, 2012 Presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), will lead the party in the Presidential slot for the third time, it appears the party is more than confident it has full grip of its fortunes, come 2016.
Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, NPP General Secretary, indicated in an interview with Oman Fm Tuesday morning that apart from Nana Addo leading the party in the 2016 Presidential contest, he will undeniably be the President of the nation.
His reason was that “Ghanaians have admitted that he won the elections. Five Judges saw things are going on right. Now, all Ghanaians are crying for Nana Addo to come and be installed in his seat… (Late President Mills) contested it thrice. His Excellency J.A Kufour contested Adu Boahen in 1992 and contested again in 1996. He contested again in 1998…
“Nana Addo has contested twice and will contest again. I mean no matter the number of times he contests, he will still contest (in 2016).”
To him, Nana Addo has no choice than to “be President and deliver us from the hardships we are facing…It’s the prayers of Ghanaians. It’s our supplication.”
A General Secretary who knows the process the party goes through to elect its flagbearers, why stick your neck out for one person, especially as an Executive of the party.
Sir John Descends On Tsatsu Tsikata: “Shut Up!!!…” He Says
“If going by Tsatsu Tsikata’s logic, Justice Anin Yeboah was appointed by Kufuor and as such owes his loyalty to NPP, then what do we say about the four judges who decided that no irregularity occurred in the 2012 elections to warrant a nullification of the tainted votes?” Sir John asked.
Continuing, Sir John asked: “Again, if I’m to go by Tsatsu’s logic, did Justices Atuguba, Gbadegbe and Akoto Bamfo, who voted decided that no infraction took place in the December 2012 election and that the petition was without merit, do so because they were all appointed by the NDC under President Rawlings and late President Mills?”
Sir John, does he understand the meaning of logic, for him to basterdise the word.
Sir John: I’m Not Sure John Mahama Sees Himself As Prez
“I am not sure John sees himself as President of this country in spite of the fact that he’s been congratulated by Nana Akufo Addo. He knows best what went into all these. Indeed, it amazes me that he and his Vice-President and all the people around him wore white.
“If you pass by the NDC party Headquarters, they had their sound systems and everything ready to jubilate. What they knew that the rest of the country did not know, we leave it to John Mahama and the rest of the country to answer,” he said.
Sir John has become nothing but a Parrot, that has find space for itself to talk, even if not wanted
Well you now know my general opinion about Sir John already- a Clown is in charge as the General Secretary of the NPP, but no one seems to be laughing. God help us and the NPP!
