The second annual Ghana Garden and Flower Show (GGFS) is underway at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.
The eleven days, show which is under the theme: Gardening for Value: Health, Beauty, Jobs and Income”, will bring together florists, horticulturalists, garden lovers, investors, policy makers, home owners and real estate developers, among others
Speaking at the launch of the GGFS attended by the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Murtala Mohammed, Mr Julius Debrah, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mawuena Dumor, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Ghana Investor Promotion Centre(GIPC), Lawyer
Tsatsu Tsikata, Madam Esther Cobbah, CEO of Strategic Communications Africa Limited, the organizers of the show said, the show was considered to be essential to stimulating a national movement aimed at bringing about national awareness on the value of gardening.
She said, the show was aimed at creating the enabling framework that encourages entrepreneurs to take up opportunities that are being highlighted in gardening.
Making comments on behalf of the sponsors of the show, Dolapo Ogundimu, the Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana Limited said, the bank was aligned with the show because of business opportunities.
He said, the bank was excited to be part of the global efforts at making the environment more conducive for individuals and business operations.
